Sunday, a day that at home starts out by discussing what kind of pasta we will eat. So the pasta came to Aubrey, Sunday family dinner here in ICU. It seems swallowing was difficult, but was able to have a few bites of his favorite. I think post surgical he is now stable, so reality sinks in and it hurts. Aubrey wants to accept and move on.

Hi Guys! Eavan and I are in Seattle visiting Polly Jean, (my 15-month-old niece), and I’ve not been checking email the past few days. So you can imagine my joy to hear that Aubrey – you’re eating! I’m assuming that means you’re swallowing well and obviously you’re telling Mom or someone what to post on here….sorry about the peeing thing, that’s gotta suck! Thank God you’ve got the best nurse in the entire universe as a mother! She’ll make sure your pee comes out, your pain is taken away, and all your needs are met. I’m trying to enjoy my time with my family and take it all in – your messages are very inspirational and help remind me what this life is all about. I, for one, think it’s about love. Really and truly nothing else matters! I love you guys and look forward to hugging your necks when your out of ICU and I can come visit.
Keep kickin ass, Aubrey!

Dear Aubrey, I hope that your feeling better with each passing day. I’ve been wanting to come up to the hospital and give your Mom a hug and you as well, but I do understand this is a time for privacy. Please know I love you and I’m praying for you. I’ll write again soon. Love Kyna
